Dyer's log, Stardate 2025.10.11: Acacia v2

Disclaimer: I am currently deep in a Copilot-powered ADHD rabbit hole. The instructions, formulas, and formatting presented here are not my own original methods, they’ve been generated by Copilot, as part of an ongoing studio experiment.

Please treat this as a creative test run, not a final protocol. Adjust, question, remix, and interpret as needed. The goal is exploration, not perfection, and if it sparks a new idea or a better system, then the rabbit hole was worth it. ~VB

If you haven't looked at my first attempt at dyeing this colorway, check out Dyer's log, stardate 2025.10.11: Acacia Version 1

Copilot Pantone 13-0640 TCX (Acacia) #DACD65 Dye Recipe Version 2

I'm using 100 grams of 100% wool yarn (worsted) and following basic acid dye instructions.

  • Sun Yellow 0.8g
  • Chartreuse 0.4g
  • Bright Yellow 0.3g
  • Turquoise 0.05g

Here's what it looks like:

Still nowhere near the intended colorway of Acacia.

Gonna need some tips from our tiny Copilot buddy to tone down the neon.

More to come...

Here's the recommendation I'm going to go with.

Sand Dune Overdye Mix (0.15g Total)
  • 0.10g Golden Ochre
  • 0.05g Chestnut

According to Copilot, this mix will gently tint the neon base with a warm, mineral wash — think sunbaked adobe or desert clay.
